For years, Charm Optical has been more than just an eye care clinic. It has been a place built on trust, long-standing relationships, and genuine care. As a family-run practice, we've had the privilege of serving our community one patient at a time.
Recently, Manulife made changes to their provider network that directly impact our patients. Many of you who have been coming to Charm Optical for years have been told your visits are no longer covered under your Manulife plan. This wasn't a decision based on the quality of care you received. It was a policy change made without consulting the patients it affects most.
As a result, loyal patients are being forced to leave a clinic they trust and start over with an unfamiliar provider — not because they want to, but because Manulife's policy leaves them no real choice.
This doesn't just affect Manulife members. There are other insurance providers that use the Manulife network to process their claims, and we've lost the ability to direct bill those plans as well.
We believe you deserve the freedom to choose where you receive your eye care. You shouldn't have to give up a provider you trust because of a decision that was made behind closed doors.
Your voice matters. This petition is a way for Manulife members and supporters to stand together and ask for transparency, patient choice, and the right to continue receiving care from the professionals you know and trust.
